Karen Thatcher

Karen Thatcher is President and CEO of TelCon Associates, Inc., an established (1971) telecommunications consulting firm specializing in TEM through Audits, Bill Management, Telemanagement, and Tech Support services.

Karen has conducted a wide variety of telecom auditing courses at nationwide conferences, and has held numerous in-house audit training for clients of TelCon Associates.  For five years, she was the co-speaker at the “Telecom Auditing 101” seminars, sponsored by CCMI.

In 2005, Karen authored “The Telecom Cost Reduction Manual”, and she has written dozens of articles on a variety of telecom topics.

In addition to her executive duties as CEO of TelCon Associates, Karen’s main focus is working with clients on auditing projects.  Over her 17 years working with TelCon Associates, she has identified and implemented  millions of dollars in telecom savings for clients, both large and small, by correcting billing errors, optimizing service, negotiating contracts, ensuring contract compliance, and establishing internal policies for clients to maintain their savings.

In 2009, Karen created Telecom Tech Support, LLC (TTS), a subsidiary of TelCon Associates that provides a nationwide network of technicians to handle on-site telecom issues for multi-location companies.

In 2010, TelCon was voted “Outstanding Partner of the Year” by property owners and developers in the Multi-family Industry.

Karen received her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in communications at the University of Kansas.
